The Journal will be hosting a symposium entitled “Helping New York Choose: Voting Technology in the 21st Century” on Friday, November 16, 2007 at Albany Law School. The
Symposium will present four separate panel discussions on the following topics: An introduction to voting technologies, current voting methods and machines that are used in
New York, the effect of implementing the Help America Vote Act (“HAVA”) and other similar legislation, and the interplay between emerging technologies and the practice of
law, civil liberties, and voting rights.
