Welcome to the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology
Thank you for taking the time to learn about the Albany Law Journal of Science & Technology. Since its inception in 1990, the Journal of Science & Technology has developed into a nationally ranked law journal. The extensive annual legal periodical survey conducted by Washington & Lee Law School consistently ranks the Journal among the top Science and Technology Law Journals in the country in categories such as impact, total number of citations by other journals, currency, and frequency of citations by cases. In 2008, the Journal of Science & Technology was ranked #6 over-all and in a combination of citations from journals and cases among all Science and Technology student-edited journals.
Submission Information
The Albany Law Journal of Science & Technology welcomes the submission of unsolicited manuscripts for articles, notes, and comments concerning the interaction between science, technology and the law.
Deadlines
We publish three volumes, two of which are comprised of articles, accepted on a rolling basis. The Journal is now accepting articles for Volume 22.
Expedite Requests
The Journal of Science & Technology has recently formed an Advisory Board, which offers an exciting collaboration between our student-run publication and a select group of legal professionals. Due to this new manuscript review procedure, expedite requests with turn around times of less than 10 days cannot be honored.
Format Citation & Editing
The Journal generally conforms with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (19th edition 2010), published by the Harvard Law Review Association, in conjunction with the Columbia Law Review, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and the Yale Law Journal.
While the Journal aims to ensure that accepted articles conform to proper citation, spelling and grammar rules, we do not alter authors\' substantive work and style. Prior to publication of any work, the author will receive a final version of his or her article for review and approval.
